All vehicles in Auto Assault are equipped with protective armor. This can come in a variety of forms, from metal plating to a liquid coating. Armor provides two important statistic boosts - a bonus to the Defense rating, which determines the amount of damage the player avoids from attacks, and a bonus to max hit points.

Armor typically provides a boost to one or more resistance valuesas well, and it commonly includes enhancements.
